Holiday Bash!

President Kenya Broadnax opened our annual holiday party and fundraiser held on December 7 at the Quarry House in Orinda.  We had close to 40 jolly attendees. We raised nearly $2000 by auctioning off the wrapped gifts members donated and from a spirited  Heads Up raffle.  We gave tribute to our dear departed member Kay Taylor and heard from our Founder Region Governor Elise Balgley and our District Fellowship Representative Amelia Benko.  Member Dr. Catherine Pinkas was honored for contributing $10,000 over the past 10 years for our Region's Fellowship Program, which awards $10,000 grants to women finishing their PhD programs.
